Four fierce storms - Fay, Gustav, Hanna and Ike- have struck Haiti in less than a month. The number of casualties continues to mount. The little that many Haitians has had turned to nothing at all. These images are nothing compared to the real picture. Their humble homes are under water, forcing them onto the roof of their homes.
 
More despair in Haiti is almost unfathomable, as Haitians were struggling to feed themselves before hurricanes battered their agricultural lands, killed their livestock and washed away their tiny stores of rice.
Because of the hurricanes, the Haitian Government postponed the start of the school year from September to October. However, most children will not be able to attend school  without assistance.
Considering the dreadful plight of many families, this organisation EPH members, decide to take action. Committed to our mission and principles, and solidarity with hurricane victims, we are launching an project to help relieving the victims, specially the children.
Our goal is to raise funds to provide scholarships and teaching materials to thousands of children all over the country for the upcoming school year, to provide medical assistance, foods, and aid in the reconstruction of the schools and homes. Please help a child to go to school, a mother to feed her children. Remember, we are in this world together, and we can make it a better place. May God bless you as you reach out the less fortunate.
